Oliva Laing shortlisted for the Tadeusz Bradecki Prize 2026

This is such a great prize for Olivia Laing’s novel The Silver Bookto be shortlisted for. The Tadeusz Bradecki Prize was established in the theatre director, actor and writer’s name to recognise story-telling fiction and non-fiction writing that combines in an original and exciting way. The winner is announced on 20 May.

The Silver Book is published in paperback by Penguin on 4 June. Olivia will be visiting various bookshops around the country during June to talk about The Silver Book, culminating in a special event at London’s Union Chapel on 23 June to mark the 10th anniversary of the publication of their seminal non-fiction book The Lonely City.
