Leor Zmigrod’s TED talk released

Recorded back in the spring in New England, neuroscientist Leor Zmigrod’s TED talk ‘How to Protect Your Brain From Extremism’ is now available on YouTube. Drawing on Leor’s book The Ideological Brain, published in the UK by Viking Penguin and the US by Holt (and by many other international publishers around the world), the talk is so good it has been selected as a Global TED Editor’s Pick.

We all know someone who thinks about the world in a black-and-white way — but many of us struggle to know how to help those who have become tied to an extreme ideology. In her book and in this talk, Leor Zmigrod reveals why some people are especially prone for thinking in rigid ways and how we can help ourselves and others learn to think less ideologically and more flexibly and creatively.
