Julia Bell is a writer who works across prose and poetic forms.
She has written three novels for young adults, and her essays and short fiction have been published in The Paris Review, The White Review, New Statesman, Prospect, and the TLS as well as broadcast on the BBC. Her non-fiction book and longform lyric essay Radical Attention was published by Peninsula Press in 2020 and has been translated into Spanish. Hymnal (Parthian, 2023) is a memoir-in-verse which was Welsh Books Council ‘Book of the Month’ April 2023.
Her latest book, Between the Lines: Life Lessons from the Creative Writing Workshop, gives expert insight into the transformative power of storytelling, together with practical advice on how to make your writing come alive.
