Jennifer Howard-Grenville is the Diageo Professor of Organisation Studies at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Her curiosity about how organisations work and what actually happens on factory floors was piqued through an early stint in management consulting following her first degree in Engineering. Her subsequent 25-year academic career has focused on how businesses can navigate the immense challenges and opportunities of sustainability and climate change.

Jennifer’s forthcoming book is entitled The Next Industrial Revolution. This is a revolution that will see energy and industry become fossil-free. The transition will be bumpy, and even feel chaotic at times. But this is the only way big change has ever happened. Jennifer’s work explores how technologies as well as business models, infrastructure, investment, policies, and cultural norms must transform to make complex change happen.

Jennifer is a Fellow of the British Academy, Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, and a Fellow of Trinity Hall College, Cambridge. She serves as a member of the Academic Network Advisory Committee of the UN PRI (Principles for Responsible Investment).
